Adding an email to an athlete's account will automatically invite the athlete to Protern, giving them access to their data.
There are two ways to add an email to an athlete's account:
Why add an athlete's email to their account?
Add an email allows the athlete to login to Protern and see the activities their coach has uploaded so far, as well as any quantriqs they are a part of. When an athlete has a login, they can sync their own sensors, connect their Garmin, Suunto and Polar watches, as well as make quantriqs from their own data.
Adding an athlete's email when you create an account
- When adding a new athlete, you have the option to add the athlete's email. Here are instructions for adding athletes to your account.
- The athlete will receive an email with an activation link that is valid for 24 hours
- When the athlete presses the Activate You Protern.io Account button they will be taken to a page to prompt them to enter a new password
- The athlete will get an email confirmation their new account
- The athlete's email will show as confirmed in the team page when they have successfully created an account.
Giving one of your existing athletes access to their data
- Go to your Team page
- Press Send Invite
- Enter the athlete's email
- The athlete will receive an email with an activation link that is valid for 24 hours
- When the athlete presses the Activate You Protern.io Account button they will be taken to a page to prompt them to enter a new password
- The athlete will get an email confirmation their new account
- The athlete's email will show as confirmed in the team page when they have successfully created an account.
Note: Account links are valid for 24 hours. If the athlete doesn't claim their account, you can resend an invite.
